Arjan Nit Kanphai

Thai sak yant master and heir to the family that created the Five Lines, with close to fifty years of practice.

Family lineage

Arjan Nit Kanphai practises traditional Thai sak yant. The well-known Five Lines (Ha Taew) were created by his family, and he carries that lineage forward after close to fifty years of practice.

Philosophy

A sak yant is not decoration. It is a blessing that lives alongside goodness. The ink is in the skin; the goodness is in the heart. — Arjan Nit

His work starts from goodness. A sak yant is a blessing that steadies and supports you; it is not a way to bend fate.

Tattooed and blessed by the master

Every piece is tattooed and blessed by Arjan Nit himself. Each design can be done in ink or in oil: ink leaves a clear design, while oil leaves no visible colour.

In Hong Kong

Since his first visit in July 2024, Arjan Nit has come to Hong Kong eight times, with more than 750 people taking part. To give everyone proper time, sessions are kept small: private sessions of one or two, and groups of up to four.

The Kanphai family comes from Bang Bua Thong in Nonthaburi, Thailand. For generations they have kept ancient Khmer scriptures and studied sacred chants and yantra. The world-famous Five Lines grew out of this family learning.

Arjan Nit grew up in this family and carries its lineage forward.

The family classic: the Five Lines

The signature yant of the Kanphai family: five lines of ancient Khmer script, each blessing one important part of life.

Craft and art

One needle, and every stroke is ancient script. Each yant is a blessing, and a piece of work that is yours alone.

Goodness first

A sak yant blesses and supports you. It helps set you straight and fill what is missing; it is not a way to bend fate. It adds strength, but the path is still yours to walk.

Around the world

Wherever he goes, thousands are often already waiting. Actors, singers, athletes and business owners, from different countries and faiths, come to receive a yant from Arjan Nit himself.

"Pho Kae" (พ่อแก่)

The title Thai people give Arjan Nit. It is kept for elders of great wisdom and pure practice, and in Thai tradition it is also used for the hermit teachers.
