Also known as the Ghost King Yaksha, Thao Wessuwan (ท้าวเวสสุวรรณ) is the Great Heavenly King of the North, one of the Four Heavenly Kings in Buddhism. This is a full-back piece: the Ghost King wears a spired crown, with wide, staring eyes and bared fangs, dressed in ornate armour, both hands resting on a long club planted before him, surrounded by sacred script. He is a commanding, awe-inspiring presence.

In Buddhism the Heavenly King of the North is king of the yakshas, leading the yakshas and rakshasas and guarding the north and the Dharma. Thai people believe he is lord over all spirits, so no ghost dares to disturb those under his protection; in the old days his image was hung above a baby's cradle so the child could sleep safely. In traditional belief this yant signifies driving away evil and protecting against black magic, as well as guarding the home and keeping the household safe.

His Thai name combines the words for "merchant" and "gold", and he is also seen as guardian of the heavenly treasury, so this yant signifies holding on to wealth, keeping your money secure and preventing it from slipping away. This is an XL full-back piece.
